Delta Law Expat Services DeskLast verified

This index covers the rules a foreign national in China actually runs into, in four groups: entry, residence and work authorisation; employment, social insurance and housing fund; property, family and succession; and tax residence and moving money across the border. Each entry gives the official title and document number, the effective date, what changed, and a link to the official text. Procedural steps follow whatever the accepting authority currently publishes.

Ten questions expats actually ask are answered in the FAQ; the stage-by-stage guides start on the Expat Services home page.

Note — Titles, document numbers and effective dates follow the competent authorities' officially published texts; entries state the general rule current at the verification date and are not legal advice on any specific case.
